Blivet-gui has reached another milestone few days ago -- I've released version 2.0. This happened mostly because of the new Blivet 2.0 and its new API, but there are some new features in blivet-gui as well.
The previous blog post I wrote about LVM described the foundations this great technology is based on. But as I already mentioned there, the real purpose of that blog post was to provide the basic "common ground" for this blog post. A new version of libblockdev was released this week. As usual it brings bug fixes while keeping the API stable, but this time it also brings two new plugins - part and FS - with many new functions. As their names suggest these two plugins target partitioning and file system manipulations respectively.
Blivet-gui, a graphical tool for storage management, reached an important milestone -- version 1.0 (blivet-gui 1.0 was actually already released in September and it took me more than two months to write this blog post, the latest version available in rawhide is 1.2).
